Privacy Policy
Last updated: May 18, 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how Smoking Tiger ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and protects information in connection with the Stututu mobile application (the "App") and the website at stututu.io (the "Site"). By using the App or the Site, you agree to this Policy.
1. Information We Collect
We aim to collect as little personal information as possible. Depending on how you use the App and Site, we may process the following categories of data:
- Vehicle and driving data: Telemetry read from your vehicle via the OBD2 adapter (e.g., engine parameters, speed, acceleration). This data is processed locally on your device. We do not transmit it to our servers unless you explicitly choose to share or back it up.
- Device and usage data: Technical information such as device model, operating system version, language, anonymous identifiers, and aggregated usage events. This may be collected through analytics and crash-reporting services to help us improve the App.
- Diagnostic and crash logs: Information about errors and crashes, which may include technical state of the App at the time of the issue.
- Account information (if applicable): If the App offers account creation or sign-in, we may collect your email address or a unique identifier provided by the authentication provider (e.g., Apple ID).
- Purchase information (if applicable): If the App offers in-app purchases or subscriptions, transactions are processed by Apple. We may receive confirmation of purchases but not your payment details.
- Communications: If you contact us by email, we will receive your email address and the content of your message.
- Server logs (Site): When you visit the Site, our hosting provider may log standard request data such as IP address, user agent, and timestamps for operational and security purposes.
2. How We Use Information
We use information to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve the App and Site;
- Diagnose technical issues and fix bugs;
- Understand how features are used, in aggregate;
- Communicate with you when you contact us;
- Comply with legal obligations and protect our legal rights.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your data for advertising profiling.
3. Legal Bases for Processing (EEA/UK Users)
Where the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) or UK GDPR applies, we rely on the following legal bases:
- Performance of a contract — to provide the App's core functionality you request;
- Legitimate interests — for analytics, security, and improving the App, balanced against your rights;
- Consent — where required (e.g., for optional analytics or marketing), which you can withdraw at any time;
- Legal obligation — where processing is required by law.
4. Third-Party Services
To operate the App and Site we may use third-party services, which act as data processors on our behalf. These may include:
- Hosting and infrastructure providers (e.g., Google Firebase);
- Analytics and crash-reporting providers;
- Authentication providers (e.g., Apple) if account features are offered;
- The Apple App Store, for distribution and payments.
Each provider processes data under its own privacy policy. We choose providers that offer reasonable security and data-protection standards.
5. Data Retention
We retain personal information only for as long as needed for the purposes described above, to comply with legal obligations, or to resolve disputes. Locally stored data on your device remains under your control and can be deleted by removing the App.
6. International Data Transfers
We are based in Germany. Some of our service providers may process data outside the European Economic Area. Where this is the case, we rely on appropriate safeguards (such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses) to protect your data.
7. Your Rights
Subject to applicable law, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you;
- Request correction of inaccurate data;
- Request deletion of your data;
- Object to or restrict certain processing;
- Request portability of your data;
- Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent — for optional analytics and crash reporting, you can do this at any time within the App under Settings → Analytics & Privacy;
- Lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority in your country.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at hello@stututu.io.
8. Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect information against loss, misuse, and unauthorised access. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Children's Privacy
The App is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Material changes will be communicated through the App or Site where appropriate.
11. Contact
